Obituary of Anita L. Bianco

Anita Louise (Legg) Bianco, age 76, of Watkins Glen/formerly of Geneva, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Friends and family may call from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday, December 12th, 2023 at the Haughey Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 119 5th St., Watkins Glen, NY 14891 and again from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023 at the Link at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 905 Decatur St., Watkins Glen, NY 14891.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the Church at 11am.  Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Watkins Glen, NY.  Memorial donations may be made in Anita’s name to the Montour Falls Moose Lodge #426, 2096 Co Rd 14, Montour Falls, NY 14865, Schuyler County Child Care Coordinating Council, 207 E 2nd St., Watkins Glen, NY 14891 or Mechanics Club, 237 W. Main St., Montour Falls, NY 14865.

Anita was born on May 13, 1947 in Montour Falls, NY to the late James M. & Mary E. (Tenti) Bianco.  She worked as a Secretary for Hobart and William Smith College for over 30 years.  Anita enjoyed working with children at  MyPlace in Watkins Glen.  She was a member of the Montour Falls Moose Lodge #426, the Mechanics Club and St. Mary’s of the Lake Church. 

Anita is survived by her sons, William (Stacey) Legg, Sean (Tammy) Legg; daughter, Cassandra (RJ) Wilson; grandchildren, Bretlyn & Mackenzie Legg, Kaileigh, Rebecca, & Sarah Legg; step-grandchildren, Ronnie Wilson IV & Braidyne Wilson; sister, Diane Bianco Johnson.
